Zika IgG/IgM
In vitro diagnostic medical device for assisting in the diagnosis of recent/past infection of Zika virus.
Zika virus, an RNA virus in the Flaviviridae family and Flavivirus genus, is closely related to dengue, West Nile, yellow fever, and Japanese encephalitis viruses. Due to their similarities, diagnostic tests are essential to differentiate infections for effective treatment. Antibody testing, detecting IgM and IgG, confirms Zika infection 45 days after symptom onset and helps assess recent infection timing.
